Prior to appointment as COO, Armstrong served as Senior Managing Executive: Enterprise at Telkom. Brian Armstrong is the former Vice-President for BT Group plc's (formerly British Telecom) Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, with overall responsibility to oversee and grow BT's activities across the region, extending from Turkey in the North, to Pakistan in the East, down to South Africa.
Neotel CEO and MD
Sunil Joshi is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at Neotel. Joshi was previously the President of Global Enterprise Solutions for Tata Communications. Joshi has more than 22 years of experience in the Indian domestic and global IT & Telecommunications industry.
Shameel is a former CEO of Vodafone Spain. He was previously the Managing Director of Vodacom South Africa and a Director on the Vodacom Group Board from 2000 until 2010 prior to his secondment to Vodafone Spain. Shameel joined Vodacom in March 1994 after completing his articles and has held a number of senior positions in Vodacom. He was re-appointed to the Vodacom Group Board in September 2012.

With almost 20 years of experience in the telecoms industry, Jacques has successfully built and managed a number of organisations over the years, including Orion Telecom - South Africa’s largest LCR business. In 2013 Jacques was appointed as CEO of Vox Telecom, having previously run and managed the largest division in the Group, Vox Orion.
Gustav Smit is the CEO for Dark Fibre Africa. He also holds a position at CIV Holdings, held since 1992. Gustav holds a Hons. B Compt from the University of South Africa.

Puleng is a seasoned telecommunications professional who holds a BSc. Honours degree from University of the Witwatersrand. She also has post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Wits Business School and a Certificate in Financial Management from the University of Johannesburg. Puleng Kwele the Chief Executive Officer of Broadband Infraco has 10 years senior management experience in various functions fo business and 14 years' experience in telecommunications.
Vodacom Executive Head of Innovation
Jannie Van Zyl is an Electronics Engineer by training and an ICT veteran with over 25 years experience in the industry. He has spent the last 5 years with the Vodacom Group where he was involved in various areas of the business, from operations to strategy before he took the position of CEO at iBurst in 2009. In 2010 Van Zyl joined Vodacom again after a year at the helm of iBurst.
Managing Executive of Networks at Telkom Mobile
Amith Maharaj was appointed to Telkom in 2008 as the Managing Executive of Telkom Mobile. He has since been developing and executing Telkom's mobile strategy (business and network) which will see R6 billion of capital investment over 5 years. Maharaj obtained his Engineering degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 1998 and completed an MBA in 2005. He has also served on the Swiftnet (Fastnet) board as a non-executive director.
Cell C CEO
Jose Dos Santos was appointed as permanent CEO of Cell C in May 2014. Dos Santos' previous experience include serving as Chief Commercial Officer at Cell C, and Chief Executive Officer at Vodacom Mozambique.
MTN SA CTO
Eben Albertyn was appointed as Chief Technology Officer of MTN SA in July 2013. Previously, Alberyn served as Chief Technology Officer of MTN Ghana and Chief Technology Officer of MTN Cameroon.

Pandelani Munyai is the Chief Technology Officer at SITA. His activities include the development of strategies & policies, network Architecture, implementations and technology acquisitions. Before joining SITA, he was employed by Globacom (Nigeria) as Head of technology and Service Delivery. He also worked for Vodacom as Executive Head of Transmission Networks responsible for transmission network planning and design for backhauling 3G and LTE networks. Prior to joining Vodacom he was employed by Neotel as General Manager (Technology Strategy and Network Partnership), where he participated in the development of submarine cables (WACS and EASSy) as co-chair of the Technical working group, Assignment Routing and Restoration.
